Restoring Heritage Continues

The work of restoring the former Heritage Grand Hotel and Conference Center purchased by MorningStar Fellowship Church continues to make good progress. Ninety-one hotel rooms were approved for use in May, and we are hoping to add several dozen a month until all five hundred and one are restored.

The MorningStar School of Ministry Reaches a Milestone

The MorningStar School of Ministry (MSM) has recently been approved by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina to offer Associate of Christian Ministry Degrees for its two-year program graduates. This is a big step for us, but it is just one of many more which we are pursuing. We want to go on until we are able to offer Bachelor's Degrees in many fields that we believe are important for preparing the emerging generation for its purpose.

Advanced Prophetic Ministry & Gifts Conference •Level Two• Coming in August

Last month we held another Prophetic Ministry & Gifts Conference in Charlotte, which was attended by an overflow crowd of nearly three thousand people. We felt this one continued the trend that we have experienced with each conference going higher than the previous one. More than 85 percent of the people attending had never been to a MorningStar Conference before. However, we may have never had a more hungry, open, and yet mature and discerning group.

MorningStar Fellowship Update

Our local congregation in Charlotte truly has become one of my chief joys. It is very young, and growing at a pace that is hard to keep up with, but the quality of those who are coming together is very encouraging. Even though we have a long way to go, the ministry teams and staff are maturing and showing signs of beginning to gel as true teams.

Announcing The Fall Harvest Conference: "New Wineskins For The Harvest"

Each one of our conferences seems to have begun where the last one left off, and then gone higher. We feel that the fall Harvest Conference has the potential to not only continue this trend, but be a truly significant encounter with the Lord. We are therefore again holding back to back conferences, Thursday through Saturday, and then Monday through Wednesday, so that we can accommodate twice as many people.

The Refirement Center Update

The Refirement Center Update

To comply with the biblical command to “honor your fathers and mothers” (see Exodus 20:12), we have planned to complete the 21-story high-rise building we purchased as a part of the Heritage property to be the finest “Active Adult Community” (AAC) of its type anywhere. We have 1 to 5 room suites available. They will all be exceptional, and each can be custom designed because of the numerous options available.

KBA Gets Traction

We initiated the Kingdom Business Association (KBA) this year, and it has obviously touched a chord with those who are called to marketplace ministries, which is probably 85 percent of the body of Christ. The awakening to this is spreading fast, to which the growth and interest in KBA is visible evidence. Our monthly webinars and business breakfasts have grown far beyond our expectations. A true fellowship and bonding is taking place with the members, as well as prophetic strategy and vision that is desperately needed in these difficult economic times.
