Other Lessons from Election 2000

It was no accident that this was one of the most extraordinary and enigmatic elections in our history. Never have so many people come to understand how much their vote can count, and never have so many people felt that their vote may not have even been counted. In the end, the election was not even decided by the votes, but by the courts. However, there are important messages in this election.

Report on Revival in Africa

Revival, renewal, awakening--none of these words seem big enough to describe what is currently taking place in Africa. Knights in Shining Armor

In the first days of this new millennium, we stand at the threshold of some of the greatest challenges and possibilities that mankind has yet faced. Never has there been such darkness and delusion, or such light and truth. We are living in the fulfillment of Isaiah 60:1-2:

"Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

"For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you.

Columbine & the End of Time

It has now been over two months since the tragic massacre at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. There have been worse tragedies this year, but this one gripped the nation like few others have. It is fitting because this one was like a trip wire which has set off a series of events that have the power to define our future.

The New Age and the Kingdom of God

The New Age Movement has become a powerful force in the devil’s strategy to blind the world to the gospel of Jesus Christ. One reason why this movement has been so effective is because many New Age teachings closely mirror the great truths of the gospel, but then carry them to conclusions that are in conflict with the most central of all Christian truths—the cross.
