Sandy Woods has worked as teacher, dean, and administrator at the Comenius School for Creative Leadership since 2000 and is currently principal of CSCL. Sandy received a Bachelor of Arts in French from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and was awarded the French Embassy Award and the Ward Melville Valedictory Award. She has 30 post baccalaureate credits in Education and has attended Christ For the Nations Bible Institute to further her knowledge of the Bible. As a former classroom teacher, Sandy was recognized by her peers and students alike by being named Teacher of The Year and a Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, multiple years. Sandy is passionate about changing the classroom from a dull place of intellectual stagnation into a vibrant oasis of sensory engagement where each student is challenged to excel. Sandy’s ultimate goal is to help start indigenous CSCL-type schools throughout the United States and the world. Sandy and her husband, Jeff, have five children, two grandchildren, and a cat.
