WHAT IS THE FELLOWSHIP OF MINISTRIES?

MFM exists to create an atmosphere in which leaders in ministry can relate to each other in authentic relationships, and in which opportunities are provided to engage with diverse ministry leaders worldwide. We are also committed to equipping and aiding our members in their work and to provide covering as wise counselors as leaders carry out and navigate their many ministry functions, responsibilities and circumstances.

As one of the primary goals of MFM is to promote relationship-based fellowship, membership in MFM involves a genuine and continuing connection and exchange within our network. In recognizing the different relational needs of our members, our network offers two membership types:

  • MFM Associate Member: Associate Membership is for ministry and church leaders who wish to be related to MFM to fellowship, exchange and learn, but are primarily accountable to another ministry, church, movement or denomination.

  • MFM Ordained Member: Ordained Membership is for ministry and church leaders who are ordained through MFM and look to the fellowship as their primary source of equipping, support and accountability. MFM Associate Members can apply for Ordination and become an MFM Ordained Member once they have been an MFM member for 12 months or more.

We do not consider one of these categories more or less important than the other. However, if an MFM Associate Member requires serious personal counseling or discipline, we defer to his or her primary source of accountability for this, but would offer assistance as needed.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF MFM

A Seed Sown

In 1995, Rick Joyner had a vision of establishing a global network of ministries associated with MorningStar. This vision of the network was to be established on relationships. "A friend loves at all times and a brother is born for adversity." (Proverbs 17:17) Relationships were to be the strength of the fellowship, bound by friendship and love.  Our network has grown from a handful of ministries in the mid-nineties to hundreds of members worldwide in 2023.

Tom became MFM Director

Tom and Mary Anne have been associated with MorningStar since 1992. As pastors of their second church planted in 1995 in Trenton, New Jersey, they became members of the MFM fellowship. During those early years of MFM, they began connecting with other members in the northeastern region of the US, meeting monthly and strengthening these regional friendships and connections. In 2003, the Hardimans were supernaturally called to MorningStar and Tom was asked to oversee MorningStar's Fellowship of Ministries.

The Future

MFM is in a time of expansion and we believe there is much in store for MFM in the future. Our vision is to have connected ministry leaders on every continent and to enable a growing number of MorningStar supported events globally, with our MFM leaders being primary facilitators of these events. MorningStar's DNA is to be a prophetic voice to the nations. "Ask Me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the ends of the earth as your personal property." (Psalm 2:8)
